The MarkLE
Where patience meets precision, and raw materials become lasting works of art.
Born from a Love of Imperfection
MarkLE was founded on a simple belief: that the most beautiful things are made by hand, slowly, with care. In an age of mass production and instant gratification, we chose a different path.
Our studio is small by design. A handful of artisans, each a master of their discipline, working in a space where the only sounds are the quiet scrape of a brush and the hum of the kiln.
Every dial we produce is unique — not because we set out to make it so, but because the nature of enamel demands it. The fire decides. We merely guide its hand.
The Techniques
Grand Feu
The purest form. Multiple layers of opaque enamel fired at 800°C+. Produces luminous, permanent color that will never fade.
Cloisonné
Gold wires bent by hand create cells, each filled with colored enamel. The result catches light like a stained glass window.
Champlevé
Metal is engraved to create troughs, then filled with enamel. After firing and polishing, a seamless surface of metal and glass emerges.
Paillonné
Tiny gold foils placed between translucent enamel layers. The foils shimmer and dance beneath the glass surface.
Flinqué
Engine-turned patterns on metal, covered with translucent enamel. The guilloché pattern beneath creates mesmerizing visual effects.
Miniature Painting
The rarest art. Microscopic landscapes and scenes painted with a single-hair brush, fired stroke by stroke over months.
What We Stand For
Authenticity
Every dial is made entirely by hand. No shortcuts, no compromises, no exceptions.
Permanence
Enamel is the only dial material that is truly permanent. Our dials will outlast the metal that holds them.
Integrity
We reject any piece that does not meet our standards. Our reputation is built on what we choose not to sell.
